MISSION

The mission of Greeneview High School is to
prepare our students to be productive, responsible
citizens and life-long learners.

GHS Building Goals
  • 1. Focus instruction – All teachers will utilize differentiated instructional techniques.
  • 2. Broaden student experiences –All teachers will provide opportunities for Individualized Video Distance Learning (IVDL) experiences for their students.
  • 3. Integrate technology into the curriculum – Teachers will assign technology-based projects or assignments. Update and upgrade technology - Staff members will provide input to the superintendent concerning necessary technology updates and upgrades.
  • 4. Develop a Facilities Master Plan – The staff will provide input to the Board in the development of a master plan and provide on-going suggestions for revisions.
  • 5. Update and upgrade facilities – The staff will provide input to the superintendent for necessary facility updates and upgrades.
  • 6. Build community ownership in school involvement – The staff will plan multiple activities to bring community members into the school.
  • 7. Communicate with the entire community. – The staff will utilize multiple media sources to communicate positive school news.


ABOUT OUR HIGH SCHOOL

Greeneview High School opened in 2002. Total cost of construction was $10,904,297.00. There are thirty-two classrooms with an enrollment capacity of 550 students. The gym seats 1,349. The school is located at 4710 Cottonville Road near Seaman Park on the outskirts of Jamestown, Ohio. Students in grades eleven and twelve may choose to attend the Greene County Career Center for specific vocational areas. Students are also able to take advantage of several nearby colleges and universities if they choose the post secondary enrollment option. There is a full athletic program for both boys and girls and a variety of extra curricular clubs centered on student interests.
