Greeneview Bridge Academy is a full-time program for students in grades 7-12. The Bridge supports students who desire a non-traditional pathway to earning their diploma by blending learning, accelerating courses and schedules, and allowing for credit recovery. Students work on-campus 5 days a week. There will be additional course assignments that will need to be completed off-campus and students can work on assignments 24/7. All students who complete their courses and program requirements will receive credit towards a Greeneview High School Diploma. Licensed teachers will be available to provide educational support to students. Students have access to a blended schedule of traditional elective courses and online courses offered through PLATO learning system.
The mission of Greeneview Bridge Academy is to provide an environment that will encourage and maximize academic and behavioral potential by developing positive attitudes, a sense of self-worth, and a vision of becoming successful and productive citizens in the community.
The vision is to serve as a Bridge that will lead students towards paths of success.
The Greeneview Bridge Academy is open to any full-time student in grades 7 -12 in the Greeneview school district. A student needs to have daily access to the internet when off-campus in order to maintain weekly progress. Students will be responsible for their own transportation.
Enrollment in the Greeneview Bridge Academy is a commitment to receiving an educational program in a new and exciting way. Students new to Greeneview Schools must fill out a new registration packet at the Board of Education Office. Current Greeneview Local Schools students should discuss enrollment with their school counselor. School counselors will fill out referrals for review and acceptance into the Bridge. The Director of Alternative Programming holds the right to accept or reject any applicant. Students can transfer in and out of the Bridge at the beginning or end of a semester.
The Greeneview Bridge Academy is located in the current High School located at 4710 Cottonville Rd. Jamestown, OH. The Bridge Academy shares the building with High School staff and students. Programming will be held in the former Industrial Arts lab space. Bridge students will park in the rear of the building and enter through a separate entrance to the space.
