COVID-19 Contact Tracing - GHS and GMS

November 19, 2020

On November 18th, we were alerted to several individuals in our Middle School and High School that have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. We have been working closely within the building to identify those that were in close contact with the individual up to 48 hours prior to their symptom onset. We will work with local public health officials to ensure the proper recommendations are followed to isolate the individual diagnosed with COVID-19; to identify anyone who might have been considered in close contact with the individual; and, to clean and disinfect any area where that individual was prior to their positive test result.

After completing the contact tracing protocols, all individuals needing to undergo quarantine have been identified and will be notified this afternoon. If you are not contacted, then you or your child were not affected by the protocol, and you do not need to observe the quarantine protocol. The health and safety of our staff and students remain our first priority, and we will continue to the situation and update our community, if needed.

We wanted you to hear this information from us. Please be aware that, in order to protect the privacy of the individual in question, we cannot release additional details about this case.
