The administration and staff have worked hard to plan for a reopening of our school buildings for the fall. These conversations and guidelines have changed as more information has become available. We hope that the following information, and the details outlined on http://www.greeneview.k12.oh.us/Content/reopening2020 will provide you with necessary information to make your decisions and preparations for the school year.
The Board of Education voted to reopen our schools for students on Tuesday, August 25th. The changes to the calendar were necessary to adequately prepare for the school year and provide our staff with the necessary professional development prior to students returning.
We have carefully considered and planned for two educational options for the school year. Option 1 will be for students and parents who desire in-person attendance. Option 2 will be for students and parents who desire to participate in virtual learning and no in-person attendance. The details of those options are defined in further detail in our 2020 Educational Options document. Parents will be asked to sign up for one of these educational options and these decisions will be made for one semester at a time. Students will not be permitted to move between these two options within a semester.

It is important to note that this plan is based on the best information we have on July 20, 2020 but we know that details of this virus and our plans are subject to change as guidance and requirements change. We have taken time to consult with Greene County school superintendents, Board of Education members, parent surveys, staff surveys, state agencies, staff committees, and numerous meetings with our administrative team.
As you review these documents, we ask that you carefully consider the best option for you and your family for the 2020-2021 school year. Parents will be asked to log into OneView forms and fill out the Demographic and EMS forms for each of their children prior to August 1st. Within OneView you will be asked to choose an educational option and whether you will require transportation this year. Any parent who does not select an option prior to August 1st will have their child enrolled in physical attendance and those students will not be assigned to a bus route. A separate email will be sent this evening that includes your username and pin number for OneView in case you need that information. OneView registration will not be open until 9 AM on Tuesday, July 21st.
