Last week, Governor DeWine indicated that schools will reopen in August and it will be up to the local schools and the county public health agencies to determine how to reopen safely. He also promised guidelines for reopening, but we have yet to receive those as of July 1st. With such uncertainty on how Ohio will respond to the summer gradual reopening, we have been forced to develop three plans for the fall. Throughout May and June we have worked as an administrative team, along with other Greene County districts, to develop plans for in-person student attendance at 100%, 50%, and 0%.
While we do not know the specifics yet for Governor DeWine’s plan, we do know how we will come to a decision and what criteria we will use to make a decision.
